High School Robotics and Control Program
The number of high-school students drawn to robotics and control has grown significantly in recent years, and so has demand for engineers with these skills in the job market. The response has been a wave of new, trendy and competitive programs, most of which apply the concept of robotics through problem solving alone, without critical thinking, analytical modelling, or control concepts.
Our program is built differently. It targets high-school students heading into engineering studies. It starts with a real introduction to the robotics and control background, then uses a project-based learning (PBL) pedagogy to form a competent junior engineer rather than a robotics-club member.
The problems students work on cover renewable energy, electric vehicles, biomedical applications, smart-home systems, industrial automation, and others. The package includes the kits, a detailed lab manual, and a training course for the teachers who will run the programme.
We are aiming past the trendy "robotics club" model and toward a genuine engineering programme for serious future engineers. If you are shopping for a traditional, superficial product, this is not for you.
